Common MDAC mistakes travelers from Cambodia should avoid

- Putting your surname in the given name field. If your Khmer passport reads SOTH Sopheap, then SOTH is your surname and Sopheap is your given name. On the MDAC form, given name comes first. Do not copy the order straight from your passport.
- Writing your Cambodian address in Khmer script. The MDAC accepts Latin characters only. Convert your home address or hotel address into English letters before typing.
- Believing visa-free entry covers the MDAC. Your Cambodian passport gets you in without a visa, but immigration still needs your MDAC confirmation at the counter. Both requirements are separate.
- Using an expired or old passport number. If you have a renewed Khmer passport, use the current one you travel with. The old number will not match their system.
