Once your application is processed, you will receive your Malaysia Digital Arrival Card by email with your PIN. You should present this to immigration officers upon arrival in Malaysia.
You are responsible for providing correct and complete details.
Approval / Acceptance
If your application is successful (most common when details are accurate and complete), you typically receive immediate or very quick confirmation, often by automated email with your MDAC details, reference/PIN number, or downloadable confirmation (such as PDF or QR code).
Many travelers receive this email shortly after submission. You can use it with your passport at the immigration counter upon arrival. You can also check status or registration information using your PIN/reference.
Rejection
If your application is rejected, you will receive an email notification explaining the reason from the Malaysian immigration. You will not receive information from us about acceptance OR rejection. Rejections are relatively rare when the form is completed correctly.
Common causes:
- Incomplete or inaccurate information
- Invalid passport details
- Passport validity less than 6 months remaining
- Discrepancies in provided data
- Submitting too early (before the allowed 3-day / 72-hour window before arrival)
Rejection does not automatically mean you are barred from entering Malaysia. The MDAC is an arrival card registration process (not a visa in most cases). It means the current submission is invalid and should be corrected.
You will need to re-apply.
